Privacy statement

Woodpusher is a chess website run by Oscar Kok, based in the Netherlands. You can reach me at oscarkok35@gmail.com. I am the controller for the personal data described here, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / AVG).
What is stored

Woodpusher asks for no email address, shows no ads, and uses no tracking or analytics. Fonts are served from this site itself, not from Google.
Settings, puzzle progress, opening progress and your results against Stockfish (used for the estimated Elo in Settings) are saved in your own browser (local storage). They never reach the server.
Who processes the data
The site and database run on Railway (Railway Corporation, San Francisco, USA), which processes the data on my behalf. Woodpusher's servers are in the United States (Virginia). Because that is outside the EU, the transfer is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in Railway's data processing agreement. Nobody else receives your data.
Your rights
You can see your data on your profile and in your game history, and copy any game as PGN. You can delete your account at any time under Play online → Delete account. This removes your account and ratings, and takes your name out of past games. For anything else (access, correction, restriction, objection or a copy of your data), email oscarkok35@gmail.com. I will answer within a month.
You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Age
Woodpusher accounts are meant for people aged 16 and over.
Open source
The chess engine is Stockfish.js (GPL-3.0). Woodpusher's own source code is at github.com/kokkio-hub/woodpusher.
